Enjoy a relaxing day on the Long Island Sound with friends and family. See the sights, have lunch or dinner on the north shore of Long Island or cruise along the south shore of CT, dropping anchor in one of the many inlets; waterski or just take a swim. Make memories that will last a lifetime by chartering Sea P.A. II, you won't be disappointed. The boat will accommodate up to 7 people (including the captain) during a day trip and sleep 2- 4 adults comfortably for an overnight cruise. The boat also has an extended swim platform providing extra space on the stern, which is nice to relax on. The boat has a full head, 2 mini frigs/freezers, AM/FM/CD radio plus all the other standard equipment, US Coast Guard VFH radio, depth finder, GPS, Navigation lights, spot light, windlass anchor and horn. Additionally while plugged into shore power we have access to the microwave, electric cooktop, coffee maker and HVAC system, while also charging the (2) on board marine batteries. All US Coast Guard approved safety items are on board, including life jackets (for adults only), flares, distress flag and throwable floatation device.
At the time of this listing (8/1/2017) the fresh water system needs to be repaired thus there is no running water but the head is fully functional. All other systems work fine. If renting overnight please bring your own towels/pillows/linens, etc. If you're planning on fishing please bring all your own equipment.
Finally, you can only drive my boat if you are an experienced boater who has a captain’s license and are competent at navigating in the Long Island Sound and docking a 30 foot single screw vessel. A 10 minute sea trail with me prior to departure will be required to assess your skills. Also my vessel is limited to the Long Island Sound only, between the Throgs Neck Bridge and Port Jefferson, NY/New Haven, CT unless I’m the pilot of the vessel (GPS Tracked). I am available to take you or your family/friends out for the day or overnight(s) at no additional cost. I would be very discreet.
If interested please provide 24 - 48 hours’ notice when inquiring.
Paul Ritz – Captain Sea PA II
Note: The pictures were taken in the Fall of 2016, thus all the canvases were up. For summer trips the canvas will be down for an open air experience. They are stored in the rear hatch in case it rains and they are needed.
Tell us a little bit more about your boating experience...
Boatsetter recommends enlisting one of our experienced Captains for your charter. Why? They do this for a living and can take the responsibility of safety and logistics off your plate, so you can kick back and enjoy your time on the water!
However, if your mind's made up, our insurance policy requires that you have a minimum of two years of experience, or twenty hours operating during the last two years, vessels of a similar length 29 foot or larger) , similar speed capabilities (approximately 45 MPH), and similar type to the one you are requesting to rent today.
Still sure there's no captain needed? Our insurance company will ask you a few housekeeping questions later; you know how detail-oriented they are!
