1972 - Islander Motorsailer

40 feet

Up to 6 Passengers

85 Horsepower

Clementine is an Islander 40 Center Cockpit Ketch-rigged Motorsailer. She is powered by a new 85 hp John Deere diesel and motors along comfortably at 7 knots. Her sails are older but servicable. She is currently being outfitted for cruising, and many systems are new, including hot water, propane bbq, stove and oven, chart plotter and radar. She has two private double berths with memory foam beds and two heads, with an aft cabin and ensuite head that are separate from the main cabin with its own entrance from the cockpit (this makes for lots of privacy for two couples). She can sleep six altogether. Clementine is berthed in Sausalito, walking distance to public transportation (bus and ferry), groceries, movie theater, hardware store and lots of restaurants. Street parking is available nearby, but you do not need a car here.\nThe marina is home to many liveaboards, and quiet is appreciated. I do not require that you have a captain's license or be ASA certified, but would like to know that you have reasonable sailing experience if you want to take her out on the bay (a conversation will suffice), and request that you refrain from doing so in case of a small craft advisory. If you wish to simply stay aboard without sailing her, of course, you are welcome.
