Easy setup, easy to sail, durable hull, and trailered for use at any nearby lake. I can trailer to boat to a lake for you if you're car isn't set up for it.
The Hobie Wave is one of the easiest sailboats boats to set up and sail which means more time sailing and less time at the dock getting the boat into the water. Getting it out of the water is easy as well since it only weighs about 245 lbs. And since the boat is on a trailer, it can easily be taken to any nearby lake.
The Wave is big enough to handle three people but small enough that it's easy to handle alone. This includes being able to flip it back over in the event that a sudden gust causes the boat to flip. The mast bob helps keep the boat from ever fully flipping over to aid in recovery. I've flipped the boat over twice and was able to easily flip it back by myself (my body weight is 160).
Damage resistant (not damage proof): Since it has a rotomolded hull, it can handle things like lightly bumping into the dock without any need for concern though its always a good idea to be careful. The rudders are fiberglass like any other catamaran, so they need to be protected from being damaged.
