I started out sailing prams in Marina del Rey when I was 10 years old. I joined the Navy and learned about navigation, I was trained as a Quartermaster, I've sailed below the equator,earned a sea service award from the United States Navy, and bought a Ranger 22 in 1982 and started logging my time so I could one day become an O.U.P.V licensed skipper. I have sailed all over Santa Monica Bay, Catalina, and the Channel Islands from the early 80's to the early 90's. In 1993 I earned my Bare Boat Certificate here on San Francisco Bay. For the last 3 years I have owned and operated "Imagine Sailing Tours," a sailing charter business. I have taken hundreds of clients to the Farallone Islands, Monterey, Capitola, Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay and all over the San Francisco Bay.
