The S/V Tara is a custom built 1964 Hinkley Pilot 35 sailboat. This beautiful sailboat might be small but is very luxurious. The Tara is 36 ft. long and can take up to six guests on an unforgettable journey in the New York Harbor. The Tara is perfect for any small event such as a romantic date, surprise event, or a day or evening cruise with your family and friends.



With only four custom Pilot 35 sailboats ever built, the Tara makes for a one of a kind sailing experience like none other. If for some reason the weather should turn inclement, the beautiful varnished wood interior is available for you to enjoy in style and comfort. In 2018 and 2019 this beautiful sailboat underwent a refit which included replacing some of her wooden features to bring her back to pristine condition. This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
