With her professional maintenance, and significant upgrades for reliability and safety, Dolce is highly desirable. Her shallow 18” draft with centerboards and rudders pulled up, this easily sailed catamaran can explore areas of the Barnegat Bay or beyond, not available to deeper draft boats. The many quiet, private anchorages can be yours to enjoy. Easy to sail, little to no heeling, room to lounge and sleep (queen sized master stateroom and two full berths as well) - get ready to enjoy the sailing life right here in NJ. Full galley. Brand new electric head (no pumping), push button flush with household size bowl - no tiny marine toilet! Very large multifunctional display showing GPS, Radar, course, speed etc. Depth and speed instrument along with water temperature, wind direction and speed, autopilot with remote, hammock, dinghy with high tech rechargeable electric motor (shows remaining battery life, etc.), cockpit cushions which double as floats, stack pack for easy mainsail raising/lowering and of course furling 140% genoa, BBQ, custom cockpit table. Air-conditioning at dock. Large battery bank for extended cruising and solar panel as well. Complimentary bottled water and soft drinks.

Included in your charter (at your request) is sailing instruction. For no additional cost, you can learn to sail. You'll learn the rules of the road, sail handling, boat safety, anchoring, basic navigation, etc. If you're serious about learning to sail, a full day charter is suggested.

Your charter will begin in Bayville, NJ at my home dock. We are 1 minute from Barnegat Bay, just north of the Amherst Channel. A fun day trip is to sail to Tices Shoal which is just off of Island Beach State Park. We sail quite close to the beach and then anchor. You'll be able to walk in (as the water is about 3-4' deep) and then cross the road onto the beautiful unspoiled beach at Island Beach State Park. There are lifeguards and just down the beach is a renowned fishing area. Back at the anchored boat, you can swim or lounge on the cockpit cushions in the water (or on the boat). Another fun day trip is up to Silver Bay just north of the Toms River/Seaside bridge. We give the bridge keeper a call on the VHF and have him raise the bridge (we're at 47' above the waterline so they do need to raise it) and then sail another hour or so into Silver Bay. Extremely well protected, great for swimming or just BBQ'ing. Swim in to shore and explore the undisturbed beach and look for buried treasure (there's a rumor that pirates used to empty their cargo here many many years ago - don't worry, no pirates now in Barnegat Bay!).

The last two photos cover the nautical chart for my area. The first one is the northern side and the other is the southern side.

I've been a boater for over 50 years, both power and sail. Previously owned sail: O'Day Day Sailer, O'Day Mariner, Catalina 22, Irwin 27, Irwin 32, Endeavour 37. Now as a retired IT Manager, I live on the water, sail as often as I can and golf every week and also play some tennis. I have an OUPV certificate (Captain's License) permitting commercial rentals for up to 6 passengers as well as the applicable Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC card). My boat not only has a CG Aux inspection but an UPV inspection which is the same kind of inspection done on commercial boats like the Deadliest Catch type boat (so we are very safe). I also have a current CPR/AED/First Aid certificate from the American Red Cross.
