We specialize in Boat Rentals, Boat Club Memberships and Charters for boating, fishing, spearfishing, dolphin and whale watching, cruising, bird watching, surf adventures, stand up paddle trips, outrigger and paddle assist and sight-seeing. We service Dana Point Harbor, Oceanside Harbor and Newport Harbor. Our clientele varies from the most hardcore fisherman chasing big fish offshore, to small groups or families who want to cruise the harbor for the afternoon or sunset. Our boats are outfitted with state of the art equipment and are set up to accommodate almost any adventure our clients are planning.

Danny Pitkin moved to Dana Point in 1982 and quickly fell in love with the Pacific Ocean. Surfing, swimming, bodysurfing, bodyboarding, lifeguarding, paddling, fishing, spearfishing and spending time in Dana Point Harbor became his lifestyle. Fast forward 30 years later, some things have not changed. He is married now and has 5 children and enjoys watching his children take to the area and ocean just as he did. Starting Harbor Boat Rentals and Harbor Boat Club is a dream come true. His goal is to do what he loves and share his appreciation of the area and ocean with people who have the same interests. Danny loves his job and enjoys seeing the satisfaction of his clients after a great day on the water. Danny Pitkin is the owner and Director of Operations for Harbor Boats.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.

If requested, the owner can provide a list of available captains for bareboat charter or the renter can use their own qualified captain. If the boat is being time chartered, the owner will provide the Captain.
