We are making our beloved 23' Regal Ventura 6.8 with the big 7.4 liter Volvo Penta Duoprop available for rent in the San Francisco Bay.
The boat is conveniently berthed in a slip in SF. If you end up renting the boat, we will meet at Pier 1.5 (the public boat pier next to the Ferry Building, do a safety overview of the boat, and you'll be on your way. Bring it back to the same spot at the end of your day, I'll do a quick inspection of the boat, grab the keys, and you'll be on your way.
Here is the info about the boat:
Cuddy Cabin Cruiser
Powerful 7.4 liter engine with stainless steel props.
This boat was originally ordered by the prior owner with all of the upgrades and has been extremely well cared for its entire life.
It only has 400 hours on the power-train which has been regularly serviced.
Everything is power. . .it has a refrigerator for keeping beverages and snacks cold while you're out on the water. It has a hose down shower on the swim platform, a sink, new batteries and brand new cushions in the cabin.
It is a very safe boat due to its trusted brand name, but also due to its size, weight. It even has Halon fire protection built into the boat. You and your family will be safe on this baby. . .as is my own family.
It has an optional porto potty as well, which I can include for an extra $50/day. It tucks away nicely in the Cuddy Cabin for privacy to take care of your "business". The fee is for the somewhat unpleasant task of me having to, well, "clean up".
The charge for the boat is $395 per day (up to 8 hours). It is available for evening cruises, for say 5:30pm to 8:30pm, and that is $200. Insurance is INCLUDED in this fee. The only other thing you pay for is gas. You can fill it up at Gashouse Cove Marina which is right by Fort Mason and bring it back to me full, or I can fill it up for you (I tack on 20% extra if I have to fill it up).
Last, please know that we love this boat. We take this out regularly ourselves when it is not being rented. . .we love this boat and you will too! So please please please try and take care of it as if it were your own. The last thing in the world I want to do is have any sort of problem, so please, try and give her back to me as close to how I gave her to you as possible. I'll clean everything, but please take your garbage, recyclables, and belongings with you after you're done.
If you're interested in renting our "baby", give me an email or a call or a text, and we'll see if we can work something out!
TOWING INFORMATION: If you are looking to tow the boat, here are some things to consider. You have to have a 2 5/16" ball and you have to be able to comfortably tow about 5,500 lbs. The boat is 4,000 lbs, and the trailer is about 1,500 lbs. This usually means that you need a 2"x2" hitch on your receiver. A half-ton SUV or pickup will work, but it really needs to have a V8. The point is, this is a large boat and while it is not difficult to tow, you need to have the right equipment or it will be impossible, difficult, and possibly dangerous.
Thanks!
