The boat

Spacious, stable, safe, versatile...

The Seawind 1000 is a seaworthy & comfortable and fun way to visit the San Francisco Bay.

This boat is a Coast Guard Auxiliary safety inspected boat with a large saloon, full galley, twin motors.

A catamaran is an excellent platform to experience one of the most gorgeous bays in the world.

Options include: circumnavigating Alcatraz Island; sailing along the city front; under the Golden Gate Bridge; stopping at Angel Island; or venturing out onto the Pacific Ocean.

The yacht can also be used for celebrations of life, weddings, ash scatterings, work retreats, baseball games at AT&T Park, and much more.

The large saloon provides is comfortable area in which to stay warm and dry. Being a catamaran, the boat doesn't heel over on its side. For those who enjoy a bit more adventure , there are places to sit up on deck and experience the wind and spray in your hair.

It is likely we will see seals and sea lions. Perhaps harbor porpoise as well. And for longer trips, whales are not uncommon - along with a host of birds.

Captain Jan loves to teach sailing - and show passengers some of 'the ropes' and also offer folks a turn at the helm.

Our youngest passenger was 6 weeks old and our eldest (thus far) was 94 years young.

For those who prefer a land based component, we can stop at Angel Island where you can hike, eat, rent a bike or take a tram tour of this historic "Ellis Island of the West" with its incredible views of the bay and surrounding cities and towns.

Captain Jan Passion is licensed by the US Coast Guard. He has been sailing for over 30 years. He sailed solo from Vermont to St. John in the US Virgin Islands, and has sailed from Eureka California to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Jan loves to share sailing stories, as well as stories of his work abroad doing peacekeeping and peacebuilding. Captain Jan is also a volunteer with the Farallon Patrol, helping transport the scientists and their gear back and forth as they study (and preserve) the flora and fauna in the Gulf of the Farallones.

Come on aboard and explore the San Francisco Bay!
