Welcome aboard! Rates: What is included in the price? Boat, Captain, Crew, License, Equipment and more. Reservation Details: Your deposit or full payment reserves the boat / necessary crew for your date and time for up to the number of specified hours for your group. Receipt of deposit money acknowledges VESSEL POLICY acceptance. Any remaining balance due shall be due/payable four days prior to sailing. Most Credit Cards Accepted via PAY PAL. Credit card statement will show merchant as NE Burials At Sea. All of the arrangements can be made by telephone fax or email. An additional fee may apply to travel to specific destinations beyond Scituate, MA. We size vessels based on group size and offer vessels ranging in size from 30 feet to 110 feet+ and can accommodate up to 400 people on our larger vessels. For your safety and protection, all of our boats are fully insured and piloted by a Coast Guard licensed captain & trained crew. How do I tip the crew? 15% -20% is customary and appreciated by crew members for keen attention to detail and outstanding service, as you see fit. If I have over six people can we still go? Not on this vessel, with advanced notice we can get a larger vessel for your (May be from a different port) but it is possible. USCG regulations. Do you have references? We sure do and are happy to share them. Please inquire. Where do we meet the vessel? Please inquire for your point of departure-we will send you specific driving directions via email depending on which dock we leave from. When should we arrive at the boat? Please arrive 1/2 hour before your scheduled departure time as we sail on time. I am running late, what do I do? Call the boat—we will try to accommodate. We typically book two trips per day so your trip will be shortened by the amount of time we leave past our defined sailing time. If I cancel is my deposit refundable? Yes within our terms and conditions described on your invoice. See policy below for customer cancel or weather related cancel by Captain. Is the Vessel Handicap Accessible? Yes, within limits—we can accommodate wheelchairs (allow an extra half hour). The Vessels are fairly easy to board. Are you USCG licensed? Yes Is there a bathroom aboard? Yes and we call it a “head” What's for lunch? You can bring beverages and your own snacks and hearty box lunches are optional and can be provided with advance notice. What about Alcohol? PLEASE INQUIRE. Some vessels allow and if they do, soft coolers only please if possible. Responsible Beer and Wine consumption allowed cans are welcome, bottles while underway are not. Hard liquor is saved for dockside for everyone's safety and enjoyment. Some vessels offer / require a cash bar versus BYOB Can we take pictures and or video? Yes and we encourage it and the captain will take a family shot for you if you wish. Do you supply the gear, tackle and licenses? Yes Can I bring my own? Check with Captain before boarding. If I lose gear am I responsible for that loss? Depends on the circumstance. Hooks and other in water gear typically not. If an expensive off shore rod/reel combo under your command goes overboard after instruction on how to safely use and work it, maybe. All depends. Safety first. Planning your Trip. Pre Boarding... What to Bring and Do... What should I bring aboard? • A smile • Food + Beverages • Clothing for all weather conditions that is AOK if fish stained. We suggest casual attire. Warm pull over - Windbreaker/sweater and light duty rain gear in the event storms roll in. The weather can changed quickly here in the North East. Light colored soft sole non slip shoes are suggested for the best safety aboard the boat. Black soled shoes are bad luck as are bananas • Sunscreen, visor, cap, sunglasses and any medications and of course a camera. • Cooler to leave in your car for your catch + freezer bags for the fillets What should I leave at home? Restricted Items: What Not to Bring and Not Allowed on board: Illegal substances (non prescription drugs & illicit drugs) or weapons of any kind are to be brought aboard the boat. Violators will be returned to the dock immediately and the trip cancelled without refund. What local hotel accommodations do you recommend? Call us please Do you have the proper safety equipment? We sure do, life jackets, EIRB’s and more. Do people generally get sea sick? No If I am prone to getting sea sick, what should I do? We recommend you consider staying and viewing from shore as when one person gets sick, others may too. You can view through supplied binoculars and we will call you via cell phone when we start. You can listen to what we are doing. Or, visit our how to prevent sea sickness page and try your best! Our vessels have a very steady platform and takes the gently waves nicely. We usually do not have any issues. If you get woozy while boating, we recommend checking with your Doctor prior to departure and taking Dramamine or Bonine at least 2 hours before departing the dock if you want it to work. It will not work if you wait and take it while underway. Wrist bands and behind the ear devices also work--check with your pharmacist should for your particular preventative situation. Any known or potentially unknown medical conditions should be reported to the captain before disembarking so as to not spoil the trip for the others; such as pregnancy, bad backs/necks and or susceptibility to sea sickness. Shipboard Rules & Regulations 2017 Season Policy While at sea, the captain is the sole authority aboard…At sea leadership is very important for the comfort of passengers and the safe running of a vessel while at sea. Social input is always welcome. The captain will be in command at all times of the vessel. What the captain recommends happens. Enjoy your voyage. Change Policy: One schedule change is allowed per booking at no charge based on availability. Additional schedule changes will be assessed a $100 change fee per change of departure day, time, vessel or port. Cancellation Policy: Day of sailing 25% refundable, within three days of sailing 35% of deposit is refundable. Within 4-14 days of sailing 50% refundable, within 21 days of sailing 75% refundable, within 30 days of sailing 100% refundable. All cancellations have a $50 admin fee if paid by credit card. CHECKS: There will be a $25.00 service charge for any checks returned by the bank. If returned for NSF, you expressly authorize your account to be electronically debited for the amount of the check + fees and the use of your check for payment is your acknowledgement and acceptance of this policy and its terms and conditions. WEATHER POLICY: Your safety and enjoyment at sea is our prime area of focus and responsibility. Should poor weather be forecasted or occur during your charter period, the Captain reserves the right to cancel and/or postpone a sailing for the safety of the passengers and crew. Deposits are 100% refundable in this instance. If the charter has commenced and poor weather eventually rolls in, a mutually acceptable pro rated cost adjustment share of the total fee will be charged, with a minimum fee of $250. We guarantee your complete satisfaction, if you are not pleased; the Captain will make it right to your liking. We promise!


Cancellation Policy

Free cancellation up to 5 days from trip start and 50% refund for cancellations within 2-5 days from trip start. Cancellations within 2 days of trip start date are non-refundable.
