The boat

This well maintained v-drive inboard is docked at a slip at Rockwater Marina (search 'rockwater marina') on the Arkansas River less than 2 miles from downtown Little Rock. I might even be able pick you up at one of the major Little Rock hotels. This boat is set up with ballast for all the tow sports and compares with Mastercraft and Nautique, comes equipped with perfect pass to make driving easy and it is rated to seat 10 but realistically things will start getting tight when you have more than 6. I can supply wakeboard (small bindings), wakeskate, surfer and the ropes/handles to get you behind the boat. One of the most overlooked experiences in Arkansas is cruising the river and seeing the sunset over Pinnacle mountain and then seeing the light displays on the downtown bridges. If you want a guide with wakeboard and surfing experience and knowledge of the river, I may be available. Just ask. I am almost always up for a ride on the river.

A few notes about the Arkansas River. First it is much more like a lake than a river May through October with current that is barely perceptible on most days. If you are into tow sports it is one of the smoothest water spots in the state on the weekends with hardly any weekend warriors to compete with. There is a 17 mile stretch between two damns and the river varies between 1/4 to just under a mile wide so so there is always ample room to maneuver. On weekends you will see a few groups posting up on one of several sand bars enjoying the redneck yacht club experience. Head west a couple miles and get surrounded by nature with 200 foot bluffs and Pinnacle mountain views. Head east and you hit downtown, the Clinton Library and further east you can watch the jets land just overhead at the airport.

Renter pays for gas used. Gas is available at the Marina or you can bring cans with gas if you want to save a few dollars.

I have a professional job and am renting this boat to meet other boaters and to help out with expenses. Because of the job I may or may not be available to handle the logistics involved with renting, but hey just ask I will try to respond quickly and see if we can work something out. I live right next to the marina so it is easy for me to get you on the boat if I'm not at work. Typically I am a 8:30 - 5:30 weekday work bloke but schedule varies depending on demands. I usually winterize the boat in October and get it ready in April.

I am a bit of a waterbug on my free time and have spent many hours behind tow boats, on sailboats, and kayaks. I have three grown sons all of whom could go upside down behind the boat and two are serving in the Army. My full time job is in the academic setting so I enjoy being around and teaching young people.
