Previous Experience

I have delivered many types of vessels up and down the east coast of the United States, in to the Caribbean, and as far south as South America. I am able to speak and understand a limited amount of Spanish. I am a safe captain and do not take any unnecessary risks. I was trained as a qualified Coxswain when I was enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and still run any vessel I captain in the same manner as when I was enlisted. Most of the vessels I deliver are sailing vessels (monohull and catamaran vessels). I prefer to take offshore routes when going up or coming down the east coast rather than inside in the intracoastal (unless rough weather keeps me inshore). I am a very efficient delivery captain and work to get the vessel delivered as quickly and as safely as possible. I am also an ABYC Certified Marine Technician and have a good working knowledge of engines (both diesel and gas), rigging, and sailing. I do not leave the vessel during deliveries. Therefore I do not require hotel stays at night or dinner accommodations as I have seen with other captains. I view the vessel as my complete responsibility and will not leave the vessel until it is properly delivered, cleaned, and left in the same condition as when I first went aboard.
