Captain Celeste Dorage – U.S.C.G. Licensed, 50 Ton Master 1963-1976 – I grew up on the South Shore of L.I.N.Y., spending all my free time on the waters of Moriches Bay, Great South Bay and the Hamptons, learning to power/sail/fish/navigate/troubleshoot and fix just about any boat I could get my hands on. I crewed dolphin charters for 4 years before Getting my USCG 50ton Master in 2000. Since then, I deliver vessels, do fishing /sailing charters and teach ASA sailing certification. Previous Experience

I grew up in an avid boating family. We ran skiffs and powerboats on the south shore of Long Island. At age 30, I acquired my first sailboat. This changed my life. I restored 2 boats, cruised the entire west coast of Florida and the Keys. In 2000 I earned my six pack captains license then immediately upgraded to 50 Ton Master. Now, I work for myself, CaptainCeleste.com is my brand and website. I started this company 7 years ago. I offer my services for yacht delivery, sailing vacations, cruise and learn packages, ASA (American Sailing Assoc.) certification for basic keelboat, basic cruising, advanced cruising and navigation. I have sailed in all kinds of conditions on many different types of vessels as captain and crew in waters that stretch from Vermont and New Hampshire south both ICW and offshore through the caribean chain as far as Tortola in the BVI. I have participated twice in the annual St. Petersburg to Isla Mujeres, Mexico race, once as crew and then as captain. I have traveled every inch of the ICW from Cape May, NJ to the Florida Panhandle. I belong to two yacht clubs here in Florida, BCYC and CYC. I am on the board of directors at BCYC and I am a founding member of the CYC. I have raced avidly with both clubs in the past years in both one design and cruising class events.
