We had a great time on Michael’s boat. We traveled from Fort Lauderdale to Boyton, docked and had lunch at Two Georges, and traveled back to Fort Lauderdale. All in all it was about 7 hours. We had the boat from 9-5. Michael did not get our booking and he was unreachable which made it a little uneasy. We didn’t get our boat till 9:45 but he did upgrade us at no charge. We love the Intercostal and usually rent in boat setter 1x a year. The boat was great about 40 mph with 2 people (200 hp).
Matthew and family were ideal renters, adventurous, curious, attentive, detail oriented, and the first to circumnavigate San Juan Island. They returned the boat spotless, brimming with enthusiasm and talking about a return trip in summer. I would gladly trust them with Regina for a second excursion!
Regina is an incredibly well sorted boat with newer mechanicals, electronics, and safety equipment. She is very well equipped for a multi-day cruise; just bring some clothes and food. Note there is no shower. She cruises quietly at 7 knots burning 2gph. We had never been on a trawler but Tom took plenty of time to go through the boat with us and show us how to maneuver around the dock; he's been cruising on her for over a decade and is generous with his knowledge of the area.
We had a blast with Allen. He is super kool and very knowledgeable. Went tubing which was so much fun, went island hopping and watched the sunset! Definitely recommend him! Thank you Allen 😊
