I could comment on how wonderful Lake Washington was, I could comment on how awesome James' boat handled or how the boat was in pristine quality. But instead, I would like to say just how amazing and wonderful James was. He gave us suggestions on where to go, instructed us on the safety and security of his vessel and let us know how hard it would be to go on the path that we had pre-planned on. If he hadn't been so amazing, we would have had a horrible time going through the locks. Honestly you may be looking at other boats here on boatbound, but you NEED to give James a try first - he would be worth double the price. We will be using James' boats from now on for our family trips. PS: He had a device that let us play music from our phones on to the boat's radio, I didn't think I'd use it - but it was so wonderful to have. We played some frank sinatra while cruising along the lake to Kirkland.
Will and his family are super nice folks. It was a pleasure meeting them and having them take out our boat. They were very attentive to the details of taking out the boat and brought it back super clean. It was a very busy day on the water and the fuel dock was so crowded they couldn't refuel. This was not a big deal as they used very little fuel. Nonetheless, Will apologized and sent over a PayPal payment the next day with a nice tip and extra payment for the inconvenience. I hope they take out the boat again in the future.
Matt was great to work with! Had a great day on the water, boat ran well and he had all the gear in working order. Would definitely rent again.
Lance was super easy to work with and the boat is great for a day in the bay. Handles the water well, spacious for 8 adults and had everything we needed (grill, sun/shade, even a bathroom for the ladies). Would highly recommend renting lance's boat and we will be back for more this fall
Richard met us at the marina and went over the details and checklist with us, which was very thoughtful and helpful, he even had copies for us! Boat is in a great shape, equipped with life vests(even had 2 extra for kids), and build in stereo unit. The whole experience was great really. At the end Richard and his wife met us back at the marina and even helped with re fueling. All in all 5 stars experience!
We had a great time sailing the Mona Lisa off Channel Islands Harbor. The boat is in great shape and Ryan did a great orientation of the boat and its systems. I'm ASA 103/104 certified and have always wanted to sail a MacGregor since its a popular trailerable sailboat. Our 4-person party enjoyed a day sail a few miles off shore and sailed through several pods of dolphins. Next time we'll plan a sail out to the channel islands. Boatbound provided an easy renter qualification. It's the AirBnB for boaters and we'll rent thru BoatBound again.
