I had a chance to solo in Keith's vessel in the protected waters of Sandy Hook. I had a wonderful time as his Pearson handled the 6-10 knots of wind without difficulty. This was my second time in his Pearson 30'.
Vernon's Whaler is a fantastic boat. Extremely fuel efficient, we only used $16 of ethanol free gas on our day of cruising Wrightsville Beach and figure 8 island. You can read all about the boat's features on Boston Whaler's website, and Vernon's boat is a pristine example. Vernon is also amazing. He is a friendly person who truly loves the water. He has years of area knowledge and finds joy in sharing his passion. He was fast with every response, happy to explain the features of his boat and easy to communicate with. While on the water he was nice enough to keep an eye on the weather. He sent me a text to let me know a storm was passing to the north of us and that the storm would miss us. This was very comforting when I was watching the clouds build from someone else's pride and joy! Dealing with Vernon was great. He is the embodiment of what Boatbound is meant to do. If you are thinking about renting a boat in the Wilmington area, send him a message, you won't be disappointed!
Brook was fantastic to work with on the rental, he responded quickly. Boat is very clean and runs great. Had a blast towing tubes and wake-boards. Looking forward to renting it again!
