“I love sailing in Newport Beach, CA and the Southern California waters!”
Aboard since 2014
From Laguna Niguel, CA
Great experience with Dan, him and his wife are gooe people, he went out his way to reschedule the trip due to bad weather, which he didn't have to but did. It is a really nice sail boat, everyone had fun even though some had weak stomachs, that was hilarious bc some said they could handle the sea. I proposed to my girlfriend and she said Yes! I would recommend to any one.
We had a really great experience on Magic. Everything went off without a hitch. Dan met us earlier than scheduled to go over the boat. He covered everything we needed and had some great tips as well. The boat is in great condition, very clean and has cable tv, ipad app technology and a nice stereo among other great features. The sailing was excellent and my first time using auto pilot and some of the other plush features made the trip incredibly relaxing. My fiancé, two other couples and I took his boat to Catalina island for the weekend. Everyone had a great time even the non-sailors. We poked around to a couple coves and the hardest part was giving her back to Dan at the end of the trip. Dan’s a super nice, solid guy and we are very glad to have met him. We hope to take the boat out again soon
We were extremely pleased with Dan's boat which exceeded all expectations. For a nearly 20 year old Hunter, it is in Bristol condition, whether mechanically, or cosmetically. Well equipped, appropriately furnished with necessities, to include kitchen and bathroom appointments. The boat sails nicely with an elliptical wing and wide genoa, providing more sail area than the more modern furling mains. Engine running smoothly, electronics are plentiful (radar, autopilot) provisioning water, and helping loading, and met us upon arrival at the end of our cruise, to help with securing the ship. A tremendous value for a perfect two or three day Catalina cruise.
