“I've rented with Seattle Boat Share the last two seasons, captaining everything from a 16 foot outboard pontoon to 25 foot cabin cruisers on Lake Washington and Lake Union. Looking forward to another great summer out on the water.”
Aboard since 2015
From Seattle, WA
Unfortunately Joseph decided to write a bad review, only my second one, yes the experience could have been better and Zak who manages the boat could have been better, the asking for a tip story is a "he said / She said", I can not verify any detail, but the boat was scratched and that is a fact, Joseph does not seem to want to admit this but that is the danger unfortunately with Boatbound, he signed the post inspection and admitted to the scratch at the time so insinuating that something was "trumped" up is rather disappointing, There are so many decent people who enjoy the experience and genuinely think of the boat as their own for the day and treat it as such.
Joseph arrived late, dropped off late, and damaged the boat, it is this kind of renter who spoils the concept for everyone involved, in addition writing verbal insults in the review is really just an unnecessary thing to do, if you have an issue with the rental then there are appropriate channels through Boatbound to deal with this.
Boat owners, I would forfeit the money, this renter is just not worth the hassle.
