Saltwater Fishing Charter:

The cool waters of the North Pacific are just down the road from Terrace, with some of the best saltwater fishing on the Northern British Columbia coast. Our saltwater excursions are chartered out of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, from May through early September. You’ll find Chinook (kings), Coho (silvers), halibut, lingcod, and both king and Dungeness crabs.

You will be angling from a white, 22′ Grady Seafarer, fully equipped with fishing gear and safety equipment. You can plug herring for Chinook, fly fish for Coho, or go jigging for halibut, lingcod, or bottom fish. At the end of the day, we pull the crab traps and load them up with crabs.

Freshwater Fishing Charter:

The greatest salmon fishing in the world is waiting for you in Terrace, British Columbia. This small city situated on the banks of the Skeena River at the heart of the Skeena region not only offers the largest king salmon in BC but Coho salmon, sockeye salmon, pink salmon, and chum salmon as well. Dolly Varden char, bull trout, and sea-run cutthroat trout are caught frequently in the main stem of the Skeena and in the many tributary rivers only a short distance away.

For the discerning angler, Skeena steelhead is the prime reason for a trip to northern BC. The steelhead fishing guides at Skeena Wilderness are seasoned veterans adept at steelhead fly fishing techniques, as well as the use of drift fishing strategies for the most aggressive and exciting of Canadian game fish.

If you prefer that giant Spring Kings turn the crank of your reel, we will take you to them. If you like to start your heart with a leaping steelhead, we will put you onto the best and wildest in the west. And if that is not enough–and we’ll wager it is–we have northern coho, sockeye, trout, and char for your angling enjoyment.

For the ultimate spring steelhead adventure, Stan can arrange custom helicopter trips into some of the most remote and tightly controlled systems in the province. See isolated areas like the Nass River Valley and the Ishkeenickh and Kincolith areas on the Copper River.

Capt. Stan started fishing as a young boy. He obtained his guides license in 1974. With 44 years of guiding experience, he has fished and guided all the rivers on the lower Skeena system plus Nass and coastal rivers. Stan started fly fishing as a young boy and also gear fishes fresh and salt water. If there is a way to fish he loves it.
