We loved our experience on Jerome's boat! The boat was the perfect size for our group of 10 to watch the Air and Water show. We had no problems whatsoever with picking up the boat or dropping it back off. We would highly recommend Jerome for a Chicago boat rental and would look to use his boat in the future!
The boat was nice. It is so far south though that if you are planning on going to the playpen I would pick a different boat/harbor because we only had about an hour at the playpen which was the whole intent of our trip. Also my reservation said 11 am, but his paperwork said 11:30. There was also a lot of sitting around for over an hour (which they said we had to be there an hour early) until the last 10 minutes before we left. I also kept getting pulled in during our trip to do more paperwork/take phone calls which was a buzz kill. The boat had plenty of space for us all though. I would not chose captain Mark again if you do book and get a list of captains
Jerome was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He responds to all inquiries in a timely manner - his boat was clean and very comfortable for our party; plenty of space in the front to sit and relax. Even when my friends and I ran into some unexpected incident leading up to the day of the rental, Jerome remained accommodating and made sure we were ready to enjoy our day at lake.
Jerome will rent you a faulty vessel and claim you damaged it. He said I broke ignition by turning key too hard. After telling him our day was ruined because we weren’t able to move from where we anchored and had to wait to be towed l, he said it was our fault and he wasn’t responsible.
Rented this boat for a bachelorette party and we had an amazing time! There was more than enough space for 9 girls. Jerome was incredibly accommodating and pleasant to work with. He made sure we were completely comfortable operating the boat before we ventured out. Would definitely work worth him again!
My family rented this boat for the Air and Water show. The owner was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. He met us before we took out the boat and gave us the 101 of the vessel. He was a great teacher and made sure we were ready for our trip. I highly recommend renting this boat. There is a paid parking lot right outside the docks and it's only $2 per hour (can't beat that in Chicago!). Thank you!
