With a brand new 2023 Grady-White 215 Freedom, you can explore this beautiful area in a number of ways: pull up to one of the many dock restaurants, enjoy a day on a beach, explore the nature along one of the many rivers and tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay, and more! Take the boat out yourself, or have a captained trip and let us do the work for you! Extensive experience and boater license are required for non-captained trips. Captained trips can be scheduled for happy hour & sunset upon request.

Hi! My name is Ryan Elizabeth and my husband, Eric, and I started Away at the Bay Charters in 2022 as a way to get people out on the Chesapeake Bay! We love discovering new places along the Bay, and wanted to share our love of all things Bay with others who love to be out on the water! We offer happy hour and sunset cruises, with views of the Thomas Shoal Lighthouse and the Bay Bridge!

- Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking start time are non-refundable.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
