Family-friendly fishing and fun boat with lots of power, smooth ride, long sea legs, and plenty of space. Ready for any on-water activity with a powerful 250HP Yamaha outboard. Located at Galveston Yacht Basin.
The Robalo Dual Console 227 is a perfect boat for fishing, cruising and family fun. This 22 foot long bow rider is powered by a 250HP Yamaha outboard, is rated for up to 10 people, and tops out about 45 MPH depending on number of passengers. Its 100 gallon fuel tank means you can cruise for hundreds of miles, and the built-in head ensures comfort on the water. The digital instrument package includes a fish finder, chart plotter/nav system, and weather with the radar atop the tow arch.
The stainless steel tow arch is ready to get your tuber, skier or wakeboarder out of the water quickly. It's also equipped with plenty of storage for your rods and reels when fishing is the order of the day.
Speaking of fishing, the Robalo is built to fish! The boat features a large fishing area in the aft cockpit with multiple rod holders around the boat. An integrated live well is included behind the driver's seat, and a large ice chest under the passenger seat can accommodate a large offshore catch. Speaking of offshore, with it's deep V hull and tall sides, the Robalo is built for offshore boating and can easily stretch its sea legs and get you out away from the beach and to the platforms and undersea structure where the fish gather (not to be taken beyond site of land).
For family fun, the Robalo is a sure hit. The bow is enormous and with the center cushion inserted, it can hold a family in comfort. The driver's seat is a fully adjustable bucket with flip-up bolster. The passenger seat is a back-to-back seat that can fold down into a sun lounger and opens up to storage/ice chest below. Along the back of the boat is a long bench that will seat 3 comfortably but can be flipped up to allow for more fishing room. The cockpit is carpeted (removable) for comfort. There is a small door that opens up to the swim area and ladder down into the water. The bimini top keeps passengers cool and in the shade. Abundant storage makes it easy to take your toys with you. And the audio system brings your tunes on the water, with FM radio, CD, and aux input for your phone or iPad.
With its 250HP outboard, the Robalo can pop up onto plane quickly and can power across long stretches of open water. Speaking of open water, the boat also includes an enclosed head with vacuflush toilet should the need arise while on the water.
The Robalo is kept in dry stack storage at the Galveston Yacht Basin providing easy access to offshore fishing or a day in the bay. If cruising the bay, do not go into water shallower than 6 feet and watch out for crab pots and markers.

We were a total party of 6 with 3 boys! Our goals were to fish then towed a three persons raft. We were celebrating a our twins b-day! We all had a blast! Joel is an exceptional boat owner/renter, because he is easy going and laid back. Which is consistent with the other reviews I had read.
The boat had a power live bait well. I don't believed it had a circulating aerator however it pumped outside water into a convenient box in the back of the boat. Plenty of fishing pole holders
My wife was pleasantly surprised to find the boat came with a private Head! The rest of us guys where thrilled to know there wasn't going to be any unnecessary dockings! LOL.
Joel had the boat cleaned, the gas tanked topped off and the head pumped out.
The boat performed perfectly! We were not concerned at all because of the great condition of the boat. plus, there was a radio to make calls if needed.
This boat had a wake tower tow point! This allowed us to tow a floating device without the rope hitting the water and jerking the folks on our device!
The boat floated high above the water. He has it docked in a place where there's free parking and restrooms. There is a bait store, gas station and restaurant-grill that isn't overpriced!
All were within 50yds from the boat! They had carts in case you want to over pack the boat, like we did. Joel, said, "It is better to over prepare than under."
The navigation was in color and tons of apps including a fish finder.
Joel didn't require us to cleaned the boat or motor afterwards like other owners did. (although, we cleaned the inside anyway) He didn't care if we fueled it or not. He said, If I didn't he would gas it afterwards and get reimbursed later.
We loved the rental and will do it again. We highly recommend this boat especially if you are a first time renter.
We really enjoyed the boat and Joel made the experience even more pleasant. He was very quick to answer our questions and the pickup/drop off process was very smooth. The boat exceeded our expectation in every aspect. It was exactly as the description and pictures presented it. We had a wonderful time and look forward to renting it again in the future!
The boat is exactly as described and it was a great experience. Joel is very responsive and met all of our needs. He launched the boat for us on time and was very patient as we were late to arrive due to poor navigation on our part. I would certainly rent from him again.
