Oceanside Seats for this 4th of July’s Fireworks Display – Yes Please!
We're getting close to, what some would say, is the best holiday of summer...the 4th of July. It's the celebration of freedom (of course freedom from British oppression and all that) but also a time to be free from work, stress and the mundane activities of our daily lives. It's time to have some fun! Have you made your plans yet? Don't leave it until the last minute; start planning now and celebrate America's Independence the right way. The only way - on a boat in one of South Florida's beautiful waterways! Every community in South Florida from Jupiter to Pompano Beach to South Beach (and all the amazing places in between) offers up an epic fireworks display but seeing the fireworks light up in the night sky from the ocean, now that's a moment to remember. (It's also nice to be toasting with chilled Champagne among good friends and family). Here's a few things to note while planning your 4th of July boating adventure:
- So Many South Florida Fireworks Displays to Choose From! Communities such as Bal Harbour, Boynton Beach, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Bayfront in Miami, Flagler Street in West Palm Beach all have fireworks display and most start around 9 PM on the 4th of July. A simple internet search of each municipality will provide more details of each town.
- The Best Part about Oceanside Seats - a Panoramic View! The ocean at night is always a beautiful place to be...but when it comes to the 4th of July, you'll be in a prime location to see the fireworks just onshore of where you're anchored as well as all the neighboring areas.
- Don't own a boat? It doesn't matter, keep reading! Boat "sharing" programs like Boatsetter, allow non-experienced boaters (who also don't have a boat) to charter a boat that includes a Captain. It's as simple as choosing the time, date and meeting at the dock. Nudge, Nudge: boats get booked up quickly on holiday weekends; best to make reservations soon!
