This yacht is great for family gatherings, corporate outings, birthday celebrations, or just a day on the river with friends. Note that 12 passengers (not including the captain) is the legal limit for a charter.
The half-day charter consists of a 3-hour window for cruising and lounging on the boat. The full-day rate includes a 5-hour charter window. Please state your requested start time with your initial request.
Typical routes include a cruise past the monuments (Lincoln Memorial, Washington monument, Jefferson monument), the Kennedy center, the Watergate complex, and then head north past the Key bridge to see parts of the river that few non-boaters encounter.
In the warmer months, crews may enjoy lounging on the bow of the boat while anchored, swim a little in the cleaner parts of the Potomac, and/or hanging out on the large tube.
Enjoy a day of carefree fun on the water in this 2006 Searay 38 Sundancer cruiser. The quoted price of $1,200 includes captain, fuel for light cruising, and 5 hours of fun on the Potomac River. A 3-hour tour is priced at $800. Note that the quoted price for holiday weekends (including Memorial Day Weekend, July 4, and Labor Day Weekend) is higher to match demand. The price for a 5-hour charter on July 4 is $3,000.
This yacht is great for family gatherings, corporate outings, birthday celebrations, or just a day on the river with friends.
1 - Standard location for pick up and drop off is at the Georgetown waterfront.
2 - With the exception of red wine, you may bring any (legal) drink and food that you desire for the outings. Red wine stains are too tough to clean.
3 - Given the time that it takes to cruise up/down the river, I limit cruising area to points north of the DCA (National) airport. The preferred point of embarkation / disembarkation is Georgetown.
4 - The boat is equipped with an aux input cable to connect your music (iPhone, iPod, etc.) and a good speaker system throughout.
5 - I will provide ice and cups for your outing. I also have a refrigerator and coolers on board for your use.
6 - Boat Rules: No smoking; no red wine allowed; no high heels while on the boat; no over-drinking (safety while on the river is my primary focus).
My friends and I really enjoyed our day out on Mark’s boat. Leading up to our rental, Mark was easy to get in touch with and very quick with his responses. They boat itself was awesome. I would defiantly rent from Mark again. Thanks for a great time!
I surprised my best friend for her bachlorette with a 5 hour cruise on Mark's boat and she loved It! He was so laid back and lovely and our group is still talking about what a perfect day it was. Highly recommend him for any small group events.
Our boat cruise was exactly what we were looking for. Mark and Captain Jim were extremely hospitable and communicative. They made sure we had the materials we needed (plates, cups, etc.) and always promptly responded to emails/texts. We took a company outing on this beautiful boat at sunset, and we had a great time! The boat was very spacious and comfortable and well-equipped. Captain Jim was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely rent again!
Mark was a fabulous host. His boat was the perfect venue for my husband's birthday party. The boat had all of the necessary amenities and plenty of room for us and our 10 friends. Mark did everything to ensure that we enjoyed our time including taking pictures for the group. We will definitely rent his boat again!
Had a great day celebrating a birthday on the water with Mark in his beautiful boat! Mark was very responsive and helpful as we planned our trip, and did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our time on the water to the fullest extent. Great charter on a great boat - thanks Mark!
I spent an awesome afternoon on Mark's beautiful boat with 8 friends (9 of us total). From booking to close out, Mark was an attentive and friendly host and captain. He had the cabin stocked with ice and cups. Everything was clean and totally comfortable. The boat had ample space, which allowed people to spread out on different parts of the deck. I really can't think of a single thing I would improve, other than the boat is not mine. Mark, give me your boat! Thanks for a great day!
