Safety equipment - We take steps to confirm that essential safety gear like life jackets, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are on board and ready to use.

Emergency Readiness - We check that emergency plans, distress signals, and communication tools are in place to keep you safe on the water.

Your primary card on file will be charged the full booking amount once your trip is approved.

A security deposit will be temporarily held 48 hours before your trip and refunded 48 hours after, provided there’s no damage to the boat.

That’s why every boat listed on Boatsetter is insured, and Guests have access to rental insurance options that provide coverage tailored to their trip—helping you navigate your adventure with added peace of mind.Depending on the boat and rental arrangement, your trip may be covered by one or more of the following insurance policies:

a.Commercial Charter Insurance (Owner provided): Owners are welcome to use their own commercial insurance policy, providing proof of coverage that meets the minimums for both state and USCG commercial insurance requirements.

b.Commercial Charter Insurance with Buoy (Florida only): Provides commercial liability protection coverage for charter operators or bareboat rentals operating in Florida under SB606 regulations at no additional cost to the Owner.

In partnership with Buoy, Boatsetter also offers optional comprehensive renter’s coverage—available during checkout—ideal for Guests looking for enhanced protection and peace of mind during all your on-the-water adventures.
