Athan is a native of San Diego and has been around the water his whole life. He's always been drawn to the sea and at age 34 decided to leave his 10 year run in corporate America and follow his calling and become a licensed merchant mariner. After obtaining a United States Coast Guard certification of 100 gross tonnes as well as a sailing endorsement in 2017, he's since travelled the world delivering yachts and working as crew aboard vessels of all types. Athan is also a licensed yacht broker with Infinity Yacht Sales, so he’s an excellent resource for all things boating.
