Sailing out of Wickford. Enjoy the scenic waters of Narragansett Bay. Inquire about 2 hour sails. Special offer has to be sent after your inquiry.
Beluga s a comfortable 30 foot sailboat built in 1978 and carefully maintained and is well equipped for a nice sail on Narragansett Bay. Book a 2, 4 or 6 hour sail and sit back and relax or take the helm. Your captain is a USCG 50 Ton Master with a sailing endorsement. The boat exceeds all safety requirements for its class.
The cockpit seats 4 plus captain comfortably. There is room on deck while under sail as well. Below deck is a galley, a large built in cooler and settees with a dining table. Separating the forward V-berth from the main salon is the head with a manual marine toilet.
Bring your own beverages and food and we will provide ice and cups (plates and flatware on board too). No glass containers or hard liquor please.
You should dress comfortably with soft soled shoes (please make sure they are non-marking soles). Bring a light jacket as the weather can change while on the water. Sunscreen is recommended and we keep some on board as well. We have drinking water but hope you bring your own reusable water bottle as plastic is ruining our oceans. Bathing suits are also welcome and you can change below if you like. If there is no wind, we can anchor and relax in quiet cove.
The galley has a single burner stove and cold running water (non-potable). Kitchen and grilling utensils are available. On deck we have a small gas grill which can be used if we anchor.
For your safety, we have 6 adult Type 1 life jackets as required but also 6 Type III which are comfortable to wear if you prefer (not required if over 12 years old). We have child sized Type I as well but kids might want to bring their own well fitted Type II or III. Captain Joe has been involved in boat safety inspections for other vessels and has added features to make Beluga safer than what is required by law.
We can plan a route or just go where the wind takes us.
Joe was great and made the experience even better. He let us enjoy the couple of hours, assisted with the sailing and was just an overall great host. Highly recommend him!
