Amazing wildlife and wilderness adventures in SE Alaska. Routes between Juneau, Sitka & Ketchikan with customized daily itineraries. Explore majestic fjords, glaciers and pristine wilderness areas in comfort and style. Humpback whales, porpoise, sea lion, Bear and Bald eagles can be viewed from the ships open bow. --------------



Activities include kayaking, guided hikes & beach combing, skiff tours, hot springs, fishing (salmon & halibut) and crab pots. Or maybe you'd rather relax in a quiet spot to read a book or soak in the scenery. It is completely up to you! Inside

The glow of filtered light on mahogany paneling sets the mood to one of relaxation. Picture windows offer panoramic views from spacious common areas - Forward viewing lounge, Main Salon & separate Dining Room. There is plenty of room to gather as a group but you can always find a quiet space to read or catch up on your journal. --------------



On Deck

Discovery’s open bow is a popular place to sit and an ideal stage for wildlife viewing. Wide, covered side decks provide shelter from weather and allow uninterrupted access all round. The Fantail (like a sun room, aft) provides additional seating. --------------



Staterooms

The yacht has 6 nicely appointed staterooms with opening portholes, vanity/sink (except in single cabin) and space to store your belongings. Three heads and showers are shared, a furnace heating keeps the boat warm and power is switched to battery at overnight so we all get a good nights sleep. --------------



The Toys

Discovery carries two Boston Whalers (skiffs), four stable kayaks, crab pots, shrimp pots, and saltwater fishing gear. --------------



The boat is outfitted with TV, Stereo, Satellite Radio and has a large library of books from the latest novel to informational books on Classic Yachts, Cruising in Alaska, Canada, the San Juan Islands and any wildlife in between. --------------



Crew

Discovery operates with a crew of four that include a licensed Captain, Deckhand/Guide, Hostess & Private Chef. --------------



Trips Includes:

* All linens & towels

* Gourmet meals (Full breakfast, Lunch, Hors d’oeurves, 3 course evening meal), a selection of non-alcoholic beverages (pop/water/coffee/tea) and wine served with 4pm Hors d’oeuvres & Dinner.

* Activities and excursions including Park Permits where required

* Saltwater fishing tackle, bait, crab pots. --------------



Trips do NOT include:

* Pre/post cruise accommodation, Airfares & Airport taxes, Passport/Visas Travel Insurance

* Alaska State Fishing License (required for anglers 16yrs+)

* Beer, hard liquor, additional wine. You can purchase liquor and bring it on board with you.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Trips are 8 Days / 7 nights. The current trip price is for a single day, so you must book 8 days for the full trip. --------------

Deposit/Cancellation: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation with balance due 90 days prior to departure and non refundable from that point. Discovery Journeys is a family owned and operated business and we are significantly impacted by cancellations of spaces that we cannot refill. If you do need to cancel, and we are able to resell the week, we will issue a full refund. We try our best to resell trips but success cannot be guaranteed. --------------



Pickup and drop off are at mid morning. We tend to pick up guests around 11am and return to the dock around 10.30 am.
