***If you'd feel more comfortable having me sail with you, just ask! If I'm free, I'll gladly come with you (not as a captain though since I don't yet have my license)***
My adorable 1974 Ericson is a classic.
To fit all your beer there is a 4 gallon icebox. If you're feeling domestic there is a propane oven and stove for cooking as well as a kitchenette with sink, cups, plates and plastic cutlery.
There is also a head, but it has only a 4 gallon capacity so it won't last long without a pump out if you're heading out for a few days.
The rental includes fuel and use of the boat. The boat includes all necessary safety accoutrements:
life jackets for up to 6 adults, horn, flares, etc.
Overnight sailing:
The boat has a Washington State Parks Pass, and can stay for free at all Washington State Parks mooring balls or docks.
If you're an experienced sailor and would like to anchor, there are three anchors. One plough anchor on 20 ft of chain, and two danforths on 30 ft of chain.
What about bridges?
The top of the mast is about 42 feet from the waterline. It will clear the bridges in Dyes Inlet. If you're headed through the locks, she will clear the train bridge, depending on the tides. She'll also clear Ballard Bridge and Montlake Bridge, but not the University Bridge, Fremont Bridge.
There is a horn on board for signaling, and during certain hours the bridges should be advised.
Bridges are opened by appointment only between the hours of 11pm and 7am.
Ballard and Fremont bridges are closed weekdays during rush hour from 7am-9am and 4pm-6pm.
