SV Romancing The Wind, or RTW, is the best 5-Star reviewed party and event Sailing Yacht on San Diego Bay! We are the Finest, custom built Sailboat in America’s Finest City!
Overview:
Each charter includes an experienced USCG Licensed Captain and qualified crew. We have a Fusion Audio, Bluetooth sound system with Polk Audio Atria 8 speakers that plays music from any smart device. Pricing
Our pricing reflects the unparalled quality of our Sailing Yacht, and the excellent service provided to all our guests. Our hourly rates below includes the Captains fee!
2 hours $ 1850.00
3 hours $ 2700.00
4 hours $ 3500.00
In addition to our hourly rates, we are required to collect an additional 11% Port and Marina fee which is not subject to the 13.7% booking service fee you pay to Boatsetter. We collect the Port and Marina fee directly from guests.
Food and Beverage Catering:
We offer a wide variety of Food and Beverage catering packages featuring cuisine from local restaurants, deli’s, and caterers! If you prefer to BYO, we charge a flat rate $135 Provisioning and Cleanup Corkage Fee which includes ice, coolers, cups, plates, utensils and cleanup! Once your booking is made, our staff will go over all our optional Food and Beverage catering packages and see what works best for you and your budget! All our Food and Beverage packages are very reasonably priced so don’t forget to ask about them!
Layout and Features:
Romancing The Wind’s deck layout is spacious and comfortable with available seating all around. RTW offers more deck space for guests than all other sailing vessels in our class. She features high rigid rails, usually found on powerboats, which allows guests to freely and safely move about the entire deck while under sail. Other budget sailboats only have thin racing-style safety lines and require guests to remain seated throughout the majority of the charter! Compare our photos to all the other vessels you’re considering and you will see the difference!
Romancing The Wind is the perfect entertaining venue for groups both large and small! Our regular rate capacity is for up to 30 passengers, and we can accommodate up to 35 passengers upon request and approval. We specialize in Corporate Events, Cocktail Cruises, Dine and Sail, Seasonal Anchor and Swim Parties, Family Reunions, Birthdays, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, Graduations, Ash Scatterings and Full Body Burials at Sea.
Cruising Options:
We offer a diverse range of cruising options including: relaxing Bay Sail cruises, slow-roll motor cruising, dropping anchor for a refreshing swim, and full speed offshore sailing fun! We customize each charter to suit your specific needs!
About Us:
We are a Professional Charter Operatior on San Diego Bay. We are conveniently located on Harbor Island at the Cabrillo Isle Marina across from the San Diego airport. Our sailing yacht, SV Romancing The Wind, along with our crews, provide a safe and comfortable cruising experience for all our guests. We are a USCG Documented and Inspected Vessel and certified safe for all ages. We are also an authorized Charter Operator by the Port of San Diego. Our vessel is commanded by a USCG licensed Master Captain, accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable crew! Once booked, our staff will provide you with additional information and assist you in planning your day with us!
Gratuities:
Like any other service industry, tipping is a part of ours! We have the best crews in the industry, and they appreciate your consideration and generosity! We feel tips are earned for a job well done, however, for your convenience groups of 18 guests and above we will add a 20% service fee to the credit card on file after the charter is completed to serve as a gratuity to our crews. if you prefer to tip in cash, or want to wait til the end of the charter, that’s ok too, just let us know! We look forward to having you aboard!

- 50% refund for cancellations between 3-5 days before the booking start time.
- Cancellations within 2 days of the booking start time are non-refundable.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
