So, let’s meet Captain Sean McCarthy! Sean is a long time native of Fernandina and of the surrounding waters of Amelia Island. Born in Gloucester Massachusetts, he moved to Fernandina at the age of 7, and grew up surfing, fishing, boating, and playing music. Captain Sean has been boating his whole life and holds a 100-ton Masters USCG license. Sean has previously captained a large private M/Y for the owners and their families for several years which took him through the Bahamas, Mexico and up and down the east coast of the U.S. He is also a Nashville Singer/Songwriter/Recording artist (Check out Sean McCarthy Band) – with his knowledge of local history and unique storytelling, you will be sure to have an awesome day on the water with Captain Sean.



Whether it’s dolphin and manatee sightings, seeing the wild horses run on Cumberland Island, bird watching, or just a relaxing day on the water enjoying the beautiful scenery, Captain Sean aims to please.
