Fishing Trip:



We fish primarily every day except Mid-June to Mid-September which is exclusively night trips, due to the Kansas heat. We fish primarily at Milford lake, at this time due to the amount of larger fish. Milford lake is located in Junction City Kansas.



Day trips generally run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Night trips from 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.



Fish over 10 lbs will be turned loose. You can keep up to 5 fish per person under 10 lbs. and I will clean them for you. Alcohol is allowed on the boat as long as you behave yourself, otherwise, the trip is over and you will be paying for the entire trip.



All state laws need to be abided by, such as :



Kansas Fishing License for everyone from 16 to 70 years old.

Anybody 13 and younger needs to wear a life jacket at all times.

I have been fishing for 55 years. The last eight years have been spent chasing Monster BlueCat's. I have been guiding professionally for the last five years. I need to warn you, these fish can become very addicting.



The Boat:



The boat is outfitted to go chase the Monster BlueCat's. The tackle used is Cat Fever Rods with Abu Garcia 7000 reels or Ugly Stick Tiger Rods with Penn Squall Reels. We use an 80 lb. braid with 60 lb. Flouro carbon leaders



Capt. Merlyn also has 20'. Sylvan Pontoon boat that is rigged up with a wheelchair ramp and open deck to accommodate handicapped individuals who would like to go. My son Steven will help guide with this boat.



Rates:



For 1 or 2 Persons: $350 USD per day or night

Additional (for 3 or more): $150 USD per person



All equipment, tackle, and bait are provided



All you need is to dress appropriately and bring your drinks and food for the day or night.
