The boat

Experience Crystal River and Florida’s Nature Coast from the water with Captain Monte. Choose from three private trips for up to 6 Guests, all leaving from the marina behind the Days Inn in Crystal River.

Crystal River wildlife and scenic tour (2 hours)

Cruise through crystal-clear, spring-fed waterways in Crystal River and Kings Bay. During manatee season, keep an eye out for manatees, dolphins, turtles, river otters and native birds, including osprey, eagles, pelicans, herons and egrets. You’ll see natural springs, lush shoreline and classic Old Florida scenery, while your local Captain shares insights into the area’s wildlife and natural history. Every trip is different, and wildlife sightings can’t be guaranteed. This tour is about slowing down and enjoying the scenery, and it works for families, friends or anyone looking to reconnect with nature.

Island adventure (3 hours)

Experience the water like a local. Head to one of the area’s favorite sandbars or island hangouts to swim, float, relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine. The oversized 12' x 6' inflatable water mat is perfect for lounging. Bring your favorite snacks and drinks. BYOB is always welcome. Whether you want to unwind or celebrate, this trip is about a few easy hours on the water.

Scalloping adventure (4 hours, in season)

Often called an underwater treasure hunt, scalloping is fun for all ages. Cruise to the shallow grass flats, snorkel in clear Gulf waters and search for bay scallops hidden in the seagrass. Along the way, you may spot dolphins, sea turtles, birds and other local wildlife. No experience is necessary, and your Captain will guide you. Head home with great photos and fresh scallops.

What’s included: bottled water, ice and coolers, life jackets and the 12' x 6' inflatable water mat. Scalloping trips also include a fishing license, snorkel gear and scallop bags.

Prices:

2 hours Wildlife and scenic tour $300
3 hours Island adventure $500
4 hours Scalloping adventure $500 (4 Guests, extra fee for Guests 5 and 6)

What to bring: water shoes, hats, sunglasses, towels, sunscreen, snacks and any drinks you’d like. BYOB is encouraged.
