The boat

I specialize in unique boating adventures in the Wilmington area. Some of my most popular are fossil hunting in the Cape Fear river, Sightseeing and beach combing uninhabited islands such as Masonboro or Lea Island, and fishing charters. I also enjoy running local sightseeing tours where we often see dolphins and lots of other marine wildlife.

Growing up in Wilmington I've been operating boats and fishing this area for over 30 years...and the beauty still amazes me every time I go out there.

The boat is a 22 foot Ken Craft flat bottom skiff with a 115hp Yamaha four stroke motor. The boat is designed to be very stable and spacious while holding a large capacity, example 7-8 people, a dog or two (yes I'm a pet friendly dog lover) and lots of cold drinks and snacks. It also has a shallow draft meaning it can easily go up in shallow creeks and estuaries in search of alligators and other wildlife that most similar size boats can’t reach. The large Bimini Top will keep anyone seeking the shade nice and cool while protecting from the sun.

The boat is equipped with all the necessary safety gear, life jackets, and first aid kit. There is also a phone charging port and Bluetooth sound system so you can play all your favorite jams.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
