The boat

Captain Corey and will be your guide as you experience the beauty of the Salish Sea and the South Sound aboard the S/V Solution, our 30' Newport sailboat. Enjoy scenic views of the islands, Olympic Mountain range, Mt. Tahoma, and abundant sea life.
We offer private charter sailing tours for up to six passengers. Options include a sunset sail (3 hrs), half day sail (4 hrs), or an all day sail (8 hrs). You're welcome to sit back and relax or get hands-on and either learn or help with sailing tasks as you're able.
Our homeport is on Anderson Island, where our family has lived for over 10 years and where we've been offering sailing tours since 2020.
Captain Corey obtained his USCG Captain's License from the Flagship Maritime Institute, graduating near the top of his class. Safety and Fun are our top priorities!

Born near the Pacific Ocean in Ventura, CA, Captain Corey has always been drawn to the water. Even after being hauled off to the Midwest as a child, he was always looking for adventures on the water, whether it be kayaking the Rock River or rowing his grandfather's fishing boat across Willow Lake. After moving at 16 to Olympia, WA, Captain Corey finished high school, and left for the U.S. Navy only 11 days after graduating, to be a Seabee. The Navy took him to places such as Adak Alaska, Guam, Spain, and ultimately back to Ventura, CA where he was born! After the Navy, Corey returned to Olympia, WA. Having discovered the beauty of the Puget Sound while kayaking, he knew that this is where he wanted to be. Sharing these beauties with others was what he wanted to do. In 2019, he enrolled at Flagship Maritime Institute and earned his OUPV Captain’s License near the top of his class. He's been operating sailing charters in the South Puget Sound ever since and would be pleased to welcome you aboard.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.

If requested, the owner can provide a list of available captains for bareboat charter or the renter can use their own qualified captain. If the boat is being time chartered, the owner will provide the Captain.
