HOW BIG IS THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS (LOZ)?

The lake has 1,150 miles of shoreline and a surface area of 54,000 acres. The main channel of the Osage Arm stretches 92 miles from one end to the other. The total drainage area is over 14,000 square miles. The lake's serpentine shape has earned it the nickname "the Missouri Dragon". More details on places to go, and things to do are below.

If you haven’t been to the lake in the spring or fall, you are seriously missing out. See the castle Ruins in Ha Ha Tonka Park, enjoy the mild temps, the trees changing color, enjoy the lake restaurants when they aren’t so busy, and enjoy the lake without the waves!!!

LOCATION / PICK UP

We are in the hottest location on the lake. Dog Days, Red Heads, Backwater Jacks, Party Cove, cliff diving, and the state park are only minutes away. You can also get gas a minute away from our location, saving you tons of time. The boat is already in the water, approximately MM25 on the south side of the main channel. Detailed instructions for pick-up and operating information will be emailed to you one day before your rental.

THIS BOAT REQUIRES AN EXPERIENCED OPERATOR.

PRICING / RETURNS

Pick-up is at 10 am and return is at 8 pm. If you would like to do a morning return, there is a $175 overnight fee and must be returned by 9 a.m.

***MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD***

NO HOURLY RENTALS. Typically, we require A 2-DAY MINIMUM rental. We will consider a 1-day rental if there is an open day between rentals or an open day less than 2 weeks away. We may consider a one-day rental with a + 15% rate adjustment.

DO I HAVE TO DO 2 DAYS? In the simplest terms, 2-day plus rentals take less resources from us, allowing us to pass the savings to you with the best pricing on the lake. The biggest REGRET from first-time visitors is that they wish THEY RENTED THE BOAT LONGER. LOZ has 1150 miles of shoreline, with over 100 restaurants on the water, cliff jumping, party cove, and much more. I list is provided toward the end of this description.

EQUIPMENT INCLUDED

Lilly pad - Towable tube - Water skis - Life jackets of various sizes - Bumpers and ropes - First aid kit - Air pump

All our boats have good stereos with bluetooth.

GENERAL INFORMATION

We do not recommend operating the boat at night. It is illegal to sit on the rear deck while operating. NO RED WINE OR SMOKING, PLEASE.

GAS

Gas is not included and will need to be returned full. A $75 service fee + fuel cost if not returned full. A quick list of gas stations will be provided at checkout. Gas Prices we offer 2 great benefits to our renters! - On Friday afternoon, you can request a gas report telling multiple marina prices across the lake. - We have 6 marinas on the lake that will provide you with discounted rates on gas.

CLEANING (REQUIRED)

The rental price is adjusted to account for the boat needing to be cleaned before your return for the next renter. IF YOU CANNOT ACCOMMODATE THIS REQUIREMENT, DO NOT RENT THIS BOAT, PLEASE. Rinse dirt and debris on the flooring, wipe down seats, and remove all trash. There are paper towels and cleaners if needed. Please allow all life jackets and other equipment to dry before storing them. The boat will likely go out to new renters the same day it's returned. Please consider the next family. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged if not returned clean.

LOOKING FOR THINGS TO DO ON THE LAKE? HERE YOU GO???

All the places below can be accessed from the boat and have slips that you can tie up. Go to their websites for more info.

Places to go – things to do:

**State Park

**Party Cove - Located MM4 in the state park. Search online for “party cove” and it will come up. Idle through or tie up. Best on weekends and holidays. It’s fun. Younger kids should probably have a different activity if you go.

**Cliff Jumping MM4 – It is located one cove down on the right from Party Cove. This is a must. Many different heights to jump with easy to access from the front point. We spend a ton of time there, jumping, watching, or just floating. It's a blast!

**Water skiing and tubing. the best place is in the state park. The deeper you go the calmer the water. EVEN If you are an experienced captain, I would strongly discourage skiing or tubing in the main channel. If you want chop for tubes, it can still be found in the state park.

**Niangua Arm

**Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park

**Castle Ruins / Ha Ha Tonka State Park - Super cool ruins. Worth a trip in the fall!!

**11 Restaurants WITH POOLS

**Backwater Jacks – Dog Days - Redhead Lakeside Grill - High Tide Pool - -Bear Bottom - Cave Bar and Grill – Coconuts Caribbean Beach Bar & Grill - Tap & Grill - Shady Gators Bar and Grill

**75+ Restaurants ACCESSIBLE BY BOAT

**-Neon Taco - Boathouse Lakeside Bar and Grill - H. Toad’s Bar & Grill - Blue Cat Lounge -Franky & Louis - Breezes at the Lodge of Four Seasons - 1932 Reserve - Shorty Pants Lounge and Marina – Paradise Waterfront Restaurant & Bar - Landshark Bar and Grill - Papa Chubby’s Lakeside Resort Bar & Grill - The Fish and Co - Larrywood / Larry’s on the Lake -Tavern at Trails End - Captain Rons -Boondockz Lakefront Bar and Restaurant - Nautifish Rum Bar - Jolly Rogers Grub and Grog - -Hillbilly Yacht Club Bar and Grill
