Often used in Australia to affectionately describe a place a long way away. And in Australia, that’s a lot of places. In a sentence…. Q: Where do they live? A: MOFN (Middle of fucking nowhere!)
MOFN was selected as a unique connection to my home country and also to the feeling of being at sea. (Trust me, when you cant see land, your in the MOFN).
MOFN is a 40’ Beneteau Oceanis
MOFN is a 40’ Beneteau Oceanis cruising racer christened in April 2017. She has two cabins, one head (toilet), shower and fresh water deck shower and has been equipped with all necessary safety gear for ocean crossing. And set for cruising with solar power and lithium batteries.
Rigged as a racing cruiser, she is quick for her size with a little breeze. Recent winner of the Miami to Key Largo Race. She has performance sails and a Code Zero (red with MOFN’s unique emblem - GLAUCUS). With twin helms, and a shoal keel, she if great for learning big boat sailing and has an open cockpit for comfort while sailing. The electric swim platform lowers for a dip in the water or boarding the dinghy. And, to cope with the hot sun of South Florida, she is equipped with full dodger and bimini. If the sun is your thing, the bean bag on the foredeck is your go to spot.

I have over 40 years sailing experience. A USCG Certified Captain, PADI Rescue Scuba Certified, First Aid/CPR/AED Adult & Pediatric Certified with over 10 years sailing the waters of the South East Atlantic.
Growing up in Australia (the world’s largest island) the water was always a part of my world, starting out with small dinghy racing and growing into cruisers and ocean racers. Currently i am race crewing on Bellissimo a NEO430 in the SORC Islands in the stream series.
I have sailed many waters in Australia; Victorian Bays and Lakes, Sydney Harbor and the 100 magic miles of the Whitsundays and Great Barrier reef. Internationally; The Bay of Islands, NZ, Island hoping in the Caribbean, The Mediterranean and closer to home, the Bahamas, Key West, Dry Tortugas.
I'm dad to a sailing pooch, Perseus, (that sometimes joins MOFN Adventures).
With the grey beard and pirate ear ring I am often spotted out on Key Biscayne sharing salty stories, Aussie slang and nautical anecdotes.

- 50% refund for cancellations between 3-5 days before the booking start time.
- Cancellations within 2 days of the booking start time are non-refundable.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
