Fishing & Family Fun on Opha May! Yamaha 252 FSH Center Console

She is a 25 footer Yamaha 252 FSH, that’s a beauty for fishing and family fun.

Boat dealers calls it the Swiss Army knife of boats, since it has a combination of features few has.

It will please the avid fisherman and mom with the kids that wants nothing to do with fishing.

It’s run by jet engine much like a jet ski so it is very safe to play around it.

We found the best place for both adults and kids is at the Lynnhaven River.

You can do a lot of fishing there, park and eat at a restaurant if you get hungry, the kids can play on the beach at First Landing state park beach.

A short distance away is broad bay and a few other places you can do water skiing or tubing. More fishing.

I have 6 adult life jackets in the boat, 3 kids 50-90 lbs (9 total).

It has all the required coast guard package.

I have a grill for the boat but I leave out unless it will be used.

I recommend staying away from the western Lynnhaven branch.

A lot of places you can get stuck and run into things there.

So stay on the east side to broad bay.

You can also head out to the Chesapeake bay easily from there.

If you’re looking to just fish and drive back and forth at the beach front you can launch from Rudy Inlet, near the aquarium.

Lot of places to fish but not many places to do other fun things.

The Nav system is really great at helping you to get to places and to stay away from shallow areas: I have three fishing rods on the boat and ice cooler.
