The boat

Take your family, friends, co-workers or clients on a monument tour of DC aboard a beautifully restored 1966 Chris Craft Commander with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, you can enjoy the afternoon on anchor at your preferred Potomac River location or cruise to one of several locations for some dockside fun.



Southern Cross is equipped with a 10 speaker stereo system with aux/bluetooth connectivity should you want to play your own music. A sun awning is available for the large cockpit seating area, for those who wish to spend less time in the direct sun.



Ice, water and soda provided. Passengers can bring their own alcoholic beverages and snacks - or these items can be provided for an additional fee.



No red wine, high heels, drugs or pets are allowed onboard Southern Cross. We ask that shoes be removed while onboard.



Standard location for pick up and drop off is at the Georgetown waterfront.



NOTE : Gratuity for the Captain and First Mate is not included in the charter price. 10% - 15% of the charter price is customary and encouraged at the end of a good day on the water and is very much appreciated.

He has has served as Commodore, Vice Commodore, Secretary and the Fleet Captain of Boating and Yacht Clubs during his years on the water. A graduate of LSU and a former member of the LSU Tiger Marching Band, Rob is an avid music lover and always open to offer up a playlist if requested. Rob is a licensed 50 ton Master Captain.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.

If requested, the owner can provide a list of available captains for bareboat charter or the renter can use their own qualified captain. If the boat is being time chartered, the owner will provide the Captain.
