The boat

I’ve got a 2004 Manitou pontoon rated for 13 people that is ready for a day on the lake. It’s equipped with a 70hp 4-stoke Johnson that is super quiet and easy to operate. It will get up to about 20mph. Even though the boat is a bit older, is in good condition with the seats are all freshly reupholstered and very comfy!

It’s on a trailer at my residence, about 20 minutes from Lake Sara, 10 minutes south of Effingham, just off the highway. I will be flexible with times to allow for the transportation time to and from the lake, so you don’t have to worry about running out of time!

If possible, I prefer you to come pick up the boat from my house, but if you are not comfortable with pulling a trailer and putting it on the water, or if you’re looking for a simpler experience, we can make arrangements to have it ready for a day on Lake Sara by selecting ( Qty. 1) for the transportation add-on. If you’re not familiar with Lake Sara, there are venues such as The Rusty Reel, Pinky’s, and Lakeside Marina to find food and drink. There is also dock access to the brand new playground with restrooms on the beach, as well as a nice new disc golf course! Unfortunately, there is no swimming from the boat allowed at Lake Sara, but they do have a nice small beach at the park.

If you’re capable and comfortable to tow it, you’re welcome to take it to any local lake that it’s allowed on. I will have permits for Lake Sara and Lake Mattoon. I will transport it to any local lake and have it ready for an additional charge. The trailer has surge brakes, so your tow vehicle will not need a brake controller. I do ask that you send proof of the vehicle tow capacity before booking is completed if you plan to tow.

If you need it delivered farther away, just send me a message and I can check the schedule. My wife and I are in the phase of life of chasing our kids all over the place these days with activities, so it will just depend on how the day lays out. Pricing details in the transportation add-on.

It will be full of fuel and ready to get on the water. I ask that you bring it back the same. If we make arrangements for leaving it on the lake, please utilize the marina fuel station. It runs about $3/gal over market price.
