Captain Charlie Knupp promises you a real Fort Lauderdale experience. Not only on the ocean, but the ride out and back on the New River is a wonderful way to enjoy all the sights of our city. The Captain has been navigating these same waters for over 40 years and will give you the history and flavor that makes our town so special. You are my guests and will always be treated as guests. Friendships always evolve from this point.
You are my guests; we have a lot of options when we go out on the DAFFY. As far as sailing is concerned, we'll sail on any day you wanna go out; if someone in the party is not "ocean friendly", we'll cruise the waterways and there are places we can put up the sails and not be in the ocean. If dining out is something you'd like to add to the trip, we have a nice selection of cafes, bars, and restaurants on the water.
Fishing and swimming is something we can do weather dependent as well.
Many of my guests want to swim or snorkel or fish or just hang out: that's Great.
The Captain has recently been issued a State of Florida Notary Seal and may marry guests aboard DAFFY; of course you gotta get a marriage license!!
Sailing Lessons can be part of your day if you choose; the Captain has a unique way of teaching the basics, all we need is wind!! Pray for Wind.
Sailing the Daffy with Captain Charlie was everything we hoped for and more. We reserved the boat to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday, and I can't imagine a more perfect way to mark a special occasion than on a gorgeous, luxury sailboat. Captain Charlie was super friendly, super accommodating, knows his stuff and made the day a breeze. Looking forward to doing this again and HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing day on the water.
Charlie was a great captain! Loved everything about our sailing day. He was very accommodating, friendly, responsive (via email and text), and knowledgeable. His boat was clean and spacious (for us-8 people). This experience exceeded our expectations and I would absolutely use him again for another sailing experience! Thanks Captain C!
