Meet "The Invitation" — a beautiful, spacious tritoon made for easy days on Lake Travis. This is our personal boat, a low-hour 2020 Avalon Catalina 2385 RJ.
We use Cypress Creek Ramp - Lake Travis to launch. See map photo. Location is on Bullock Hollow Rd before you get to RM2769. Currently, we'll work with you on Lake Travis for pickup / dropoff alternates. And for full day or multi-day rental we can expand options.
The "RJ" stands for Rear J-Lounger, which offers a continuous L-to-J shaped seating area in the back with a reducible sunpad cushion for laying out in the sun
Equipped with suspension/pillow-top reclining commander chairs for the captain and co-pilot, tilt steering, power steering, and a high-end 500 watt sound system with 12" subwoofer, Bluetooth connection for your phone.
Dual (front and rear) Bimini tops that zip together for fuller coverage from the sun. We would prefer to set these up for you so tell us if you want the top down, 1 up, or both up.
Equipped with a Sport Performance 4-Strake Package - 3 full-sized pontoons with lifting strakes for a smooth, fast, wave-crushing ride. Powered by low-emissions 150hp EFI 4-stoke outboard, turn-key no-problem start, typically capable of over 30mph with passengers, but capable of cruising all day at cruise speeds (15-20 mph) without refueling via the 38 gallon fuel tank.
We do not allow watersports or towing currently due to insurance issues.
With comfortable seating for up to 12 guests and two Bimini tops, The Invitation offers plenty of room to spread out, settle into the shade, cruise the lake and enjoy the day at your own pace.
Front and side ingress / egress doors.
The boat comes equipped with the essential boating and safety gear you'll need, including life jackets and flotation devices, snap-free 15 lb "snap free" anchor, 150 feet of anchor line, dock lines and other required safety equipment.
We have recently upgraded to boat with a full Garmin navigation and GPS system, which makes navigating the changing level of Lake Travis a lot easier. Garmin also does full navigation, fish finder, and view of the lake bottom.
CHILDREN UNDER 13: Children are welcome aboard. All children under 13 must have a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket prior to launch. If you have kids and don't have a jacket that fits, we cannot launch.
Keep it simple and spend the afternoon cruising, or add a few extras and turn it into your own lake day.

Boatsetter doesn't offer all of these options, so contact the owner to clarify:
Karaoke Package — for the group that eventually decides somebody needs a microphone. Full Karoke setup (Bluetooth from your phone), 2 mics, and speaker. $40/day
Cooler Packages (2) — One less bulky thing to bring to the lake! Choose between a Igloo MaxCold® 152-qt. Cooler and 48-qt RTIC cooler.
Float Package — individual floats for anchoring, swimming and lounging in the water.
Wi-fi: Starlink can be equipped on this boat, running $60-$90 per "rental period", 100-300GB total (this is $5 over our cost).
"Work from Home" package: 120V, 500 watt inverter (standard household outlets) for $40 flat fee. 12V phone chargers are included as standard.
The Invitation is especially lovely for family outings, birthdays, visiting friends, relaxed celebrations, swimming and floating, sunset cruises, or simply getting everyone together for a beautiful afternoon on the water.

We'll provide the beautiful boat. You make the day your own.
Experienced and responsible boaters preferred; all operators must meet applicable requirements. Please note BoatSetter's liability out the gate of (currently) $5000 and does not allow you to waive that. Lake Travis is especially "challenging" if you have no experience, but we'd love to help you get experienced.
If you are not an experienced boater, especially with Lake Travis, we can provide a driver for you or help transition you (boat captain training) at no additional charge, just inquire. With a captain, the liability damage to the boat (due to captain error) is waived. Captains with Karoke and professional musician training cost a little more.
We are capable of pickup and drop off anywhere on Lake Travis for "with captain" charters for 8 hours or more, but inquire about our availability. Short charters are limited to launch in the area designated. This includes pickup and drop off at VRBO lake rentals and associated private docks.
Multi-day charters on the Colorado River lakes (Austin, Travis, LBJ) are up for consideration at reduced daily rates if boaters have experience and the boat can be securely docked. Inquire for multi-day.

I love bringing people together and creating spaces where everyone can relax, connect and have a great time. Some of my favorite days are spent on the water with family and friends, good music, something cold in the cooler and nowhere we need to rush off to.
We take a lot of pride in "The Invitation" and have worked to make her comfortable, beautiful and well cared for. She's spacious, has plenty of shade, and is equally suited for a quiet afternoon cruising the lake or a fun celebration with your favorite people.
I'm big on the details—especially cleanliness, organization and safety—and want every renter to feel comfortable and confident before heading out.

- Free cancellations until 24 hours before the booking start time.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking start time are non-refundable.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.

If requested, the owner can provide a list of available captains for bareboat charter or the renter can use their own qualified captain. If the boat is being time chartered, the owner will provide the Captain.
