I live in Friday Harbor with my wife and daughter. Together we have logged hundreds of hours exploring regional coastlines and waterways, most of them here in the San Juan Islands. Our work over the years has brought us in touch with many local mariners and scientific investigators. 2008 marks our first decade as owners and caretakers of Regina, our 1983 Nordic 26 hull #89, named for my wife's grandma who loved boats.

Tom's Nordic Tug packs a lot of fun in a 26' boat. We had a great 4 days exploring our favorite spots in the San Juan Islands. Hiking, happy hour on the deck, halibut on the BBQ. A very well maintained boat and very accommodating owner.

an awesome time trolling through Griffin Pass down to Cattle Point on the Regina. The boat was very well cared for and all amenities were well kept and in good working order. Our only regret was our 4 hour reservation did not allow us the time to fully circumnavigate San Juan Island and for $100 more we could have rented the boat for the entire day. Tom did a great job of going over the safety features of the boat and explaining everything we needed to know in great detail. We felt safe and had an excellent time on the water in this little boat ans would recommend the experience to anyone looking for a unique view of the San Juan islands.

My family and I had a great Sunday on the water. Regina is a lovely boat. There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. Tom was great about explaining operation and navigation. My only regret is not arriving the night before, because the ferry over from Anacortes made us run very late and we were only able to spend 2.5 hours on the water instead of 4. Next time I will plan on booking a whole day + arriving the night before. I highly recommend Tom's Nordic Tug to anyone wishing to explore the beautiful San Juans.

We had a great time renting the Tug. We had a day trip on the water with 5 toddlers and 7 adults. Plenty of space for everyone to hangout and enjoy. Tom did a great job explaining the features and function of the vessel before launching and the boat preformed beautifully. The autopilot feature was a hit with the kids. Tom even met us on Orcas which made the trip possible.

We had a fantastic time on Regina and Tom was an exceptional host. Thanks again for a wonderful day on the Salish Sea!

We had a great time renting Tom’s Nordic tug! This particular boat is extremely fuel efficient clocking in at just 2 gallons per hour of run time. It is small enough to fit in just about any slip, which was very important since we were boating in the very height of the season. The Regina is a perfect fit for two people. We were able to take our bikes and never felt cramped. Navigation was easier than I expected and Tom was very patient describing various charts, tides, routes, and the boat’s electronics. He was flexible and communication was great.
I have experience running a similar sized boat but no real experience in larger waters. I think this would be a good fit for someone in a similar situation. We would love to come back and spend even more time on the Regina!

What an epic adventure!! Tom was a joy to work with - super friendly, helpful and a great communicator. And, the Nordic Tug boat was a joy! Very comfortable for our family of 4, handles well and everything was in great working order. We had a great time and made many lifelong memories! I still can't believe we got to do this. Highly recommended!!
