The boat

The Melges 24 is a high-performance speed machine with an open cockpit, retractable bowsprit, and an asymmetrical spinnaker. This boat is a joy to sail and is easier than most boats because there are no overlapping jibs, winches, or spinnaker poles. The jib is on a furler and can be easily rolled up or unrolled from the cockpit. This is a great boat to charter if you want to learn some spinnaker handling and experience some downwind speed.

It is available for skippered or bareboat charters provided you have an experienced operator. The boat accommodates up to 5 sailors total so 4 sailors total if you require a captain. Get your group together to experience sailing at its best. All participants get to learn how to steer and trim sails.

There is a small cabin on the boat to place belongings. Please feel free to bring whatever you would like to eat or drink.

We have 2 sailing times on Saturdays and Sundays from 2PM to 5 PM and 5:30-8:30 PM.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.

A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
