Tranquility and the Keys, doesnt get better

Hi, Capt'n Ron here. Wife, Deborah and I are retired professionals (PhD Physics/BS Business) enjoying the good life on Florida's gulf coast. We spent the previous 30 years in the LA and Monterey Bay areas of California. I specialized in advanced research and development activities primarily for the Department of Defense and Deborah provided business management support for Navy customers involved in test and evaluation activities. I met Deborah while serving in the Navy and stationed in the DC area. I was a commander at the time and assigned as a programs manager for F/A-18 development and she was a business analyst for Flight Systems Inc. Sailing had always been on my Bucket List. I decided to "make it so" as we walked out of the movie by the same name back in 2007. We began our cruising adventures by sailing the Pacific Coast from LA to San Francisco on our first boat, a Beneteau 423 we named Cypselurus (Flying Fish), and then the BVI, Bahamas, Florida coasts and Keys on our current boat, a luxurious Leopard 46, Bellissimo Gatto. Along the way, we have created many memorable experiences and met many equally memorable cruisers. And that is, after all, what cruising is all about. Buon viaggio a tutti.
