Our Hunter 29.5 is the "all around" sailboat. Not too big and not too small. We have sailed them up the East Coast as far North as NYC and they have spent months in the Florida Keys. It's a very different design with only one door on the head compartment, all the rest is open giving maximum room. A queen-size berth aft and standard v-berth up front makes comfortable sleeping. The galley has a propane stove, microwave and refrigeration for easy meal preparation. All lines are brought back to the cockpit so it can be easily single or short handed. Fast, YES... easily maxes out at 7.2 kts....
The one day rate is for a daysail from 9am until 1 hour before sunset. We utilize this sailboat in our ASA sailing school and can confirm rentals of 2 days or less 14 days in advance. Last minute requests are welcome. Longer rentals can be confirmed when approved.
Our Hunter 295 has the following amenities:
•Large cockpit with stern rail seats
•Sail plan with easy to control main and jib with roller furling
•Large, queen-sized aft berth, v-berth and two settee berths to sleep 6 people
•Sugar-scoop swim transom and stern rail seats for comfort
•Marine head, hot and cold water with shower, large water tank
•Marine reverse cycle A/C
•Galley with LP stove, microwave and refrigeration
•Diesel inboard, wheel steering with Raymarine autopilot
•4' shallow draft winged keel for performance
•Dingy with outboard is available for $20/day
•1800+ watt inverter for AC power offshore
Great boat and owner. Boat itself is very easy to maneuver and operate. Very wide so it's great for taking a small group out. Gary will spend time with you to ensure you're familiar with the boat. He's an instructor so takes an instructors lens on the orientation. id be happy to rent again
Gary is a great person to lease from. I have chartered both of his vessels and they are always ready to sail. He puts you through the obligatory checkout sail before sending you on your way. As an instructor, he will be sure to give you at least one morsel of sailing knowledge in that time ;-) . I did a day sail on his 23 and an overnight with his 29.5. Both were as expected and everything was in working order and Bristol fashion. I look forward to chartering from him again and would recommend him and his boats.
Gary is awesome. He was very helpful. He was at the boat early and had everything ready. He took the time to make sure we were familiar with this particular boat and the local area. The Hunter is amazing. It's in great shape and it's a joy to sail. I highly recommend renting from Gary.
