WHEN COMPARING TO OTHER RENTAL BOATS-REMEMBER 50 GALLONS GAS INCLUDED!!!! The SCX 220’s pickle-fork bow style pays big dividends when it comes to crew comfort. It allows the hull sides to stay wide nearly all the way forward, eliminating the cramped feeling of a more traditional V shape. Four individual seats in each corner are a clever way to position passengers, especially if they’re seated around the removable cockpit table. Add filler cushions, and those seats convert to more-conventional parallel lounges.
Generous boarding platforms are found both fore and aft. Forward, a boarding ladder allows great access when nosed in to the beach. Aft, tow enthusiasts and swimmers will find easy access, as well as a rear-facing seating area to help them gear up. Starcraft avoids the all-too-typical sun-pad/motor-box combo. The swim-platform bench backs up to a similar bench facing forward in the cockpit. Lower the shared backrest, and you’ve got a generous platform to lounge on.
