Conveniently located in Emeryville in the East Bay, this departure location allows you to skip the bridge, tolls, and downtown traffic. Free parking is available right next to the dock and boat, with convenient loading and unloading for equipment, food, and other items brought aboard for your voyage.
Ice for coolers and drinks is available with prior notice and is complimentary. Guests are also welcome to use the large Bluetooth speaker; please let us know before departure.
The Pacific Pearl is a 50' United States Coast Guard-certified vessel capable of carrying up to 30 passengers up to 100 miles offshore. She is one of the only boats in the Bay Area that meets the safety requirements for taking passengers that far offshore.
The Pacific Pearl is available for a variety of adventures inside San Francisco Bay and beyond.
Bay Cruises
Bay cruises are our most popular trips and can be paired with almost any special occasion or event, including birthdays, celebrations, and engagement parties.
The San Francisco Bay and its beautiful shoreline provide a memorable backdrop for photos. A typical itinerary includes Alcatraz, the San Francisco shoreline, Red Rock, and the Golden Gate Bridge. We also welcome requests for specific sites or monuments.
BYOB and BYOF are encouraged, but no glass, please.
Oakland, Alameda & San Francisco History Tours
We offer a monthly schedule of San Francisco and Oakland history cruises hosted by well-known guides Liam O'Donaghue and Chris Carlsson. They guide guests to unique locations while sharing stories of bygone eras.
Private events with a historian on board are also available.
Trader Vic's Catered Bottomless Mai Tai & Food Trips
In partnership with Trader Vic's, we offer catered trips featuring unlimited Mai Tais and food during your cruise.
These trips must be prearranged and are not the same price as standard trips.
San Francisco Giants Ballgame — McCovey Cove Viewings
Experience a San Francisco Giants game from McCovey Cove. We dock inside McCovey Cove with the stadium right in front of you.
Avoid downtown traffic and skip the ticket costs for a unique ballgame experience.
Ash Scatterings
Peacefully lay your loved one to rest on the water. Choose a location such as beneath the Golden Gate, near Angel Island, or another preferred location.
Research Trips
The Pacific Pearl is one of the few charter boats fully USCG-certified to take people up to 100 miles offshore.
With an experienced offshore captain and crew, the vessel is available for US Fish and Wildlife research trips, Farallon Islands excursions, and offshore pelagic viewing trips.

- Free cancellations until 5 days before the booking start time.
- 50% refund for cancellations between 3-5 days before the booking start time.
- Cancellations within 2 days of the booking start time are non-refundable.

This boat belongs to a Commercial Owner, an independent boat rental company. A Commercial Owner is an independent, Boatsetter-approved boat rental company who provides their own insurance to their guests.
Security deposit
A security deposit hold (not a charge) will be placed on your credit card 48 hours before your booking starts to cover any incidental damage that may occur during your rental. This hold is released 48 hours after the booking is complete, if no claims are made. The security deposit amount for the boat you are booking will be outlined during the check-out process.
