Welcome to Settle Down!



Settle Down is the perfect way to see the cities from a slightly different angle; right on the Mississippi River.



When my partner and I bought Settle Down and made our voyage through the Upper Mississippi we were blown away, and want you to experience the river in a similar way.



Settle Down has ample covered deck space, with two outdoor patios on two levels and wide stairs that allow you to sunbathe on the bow (front) of the boat.



Inside, Settle Down has a full kitchen including a large refrigerator and freezer, two full bathrooms, and more than enough room to hang out as a group or even enough space to have a little alone time too! Plus, with her swim platform, Settle Down is very easy to board.



Amenities of Settle Down:

-Air conditioning and heat (if you need it)

-Covered deck spaces

-Bluetooth stereo system on the upper deck

-Refrigerator and separate freezer

-Two bathrooms

-Sinks galore (seriously, we have 8)

-Outdoor shower

-Rope bow ladder (for use when beaching)



What you should bring:

-Towels

-Sunscreen

-BYOB, food & snacks

-Music (through your phone)

-Alcohol is allowed (but please no red wine; it’s a mess to clean)



Things to know about the Upper Mississippi River:



-Upriver towards Minneapolis

—Hidden Falls regional park is a couple of miles up the winding river.

—The Minnehaha dog park is to the left of Hidden Falls and there are a couple of areas to beach and hang out for the day

—One of the best places to beach the boat is just before the massive 50ft+ lock that leads towards Minneapolis. It is called “the island” and is a great place to spend the day switching between the yacht, swimming, and sunbathing.



-Downriver is 30 miles of the river in what is known as “pool 2”

—the Minnesota river connects about 1mile from the marina. This is navigable by Settle Down and is typically a quiet area to cruise while seeing incredible nature all around. You may come across bald eagles, heron, and some commercial tugs.

—keep heading down river and you will soon come across downtown Saint Paul. It is quite the view, with the ability to skirt right up next to the city and is the absolute best just before sunset.



Watergate Marina:

—when we came to Watergate we were pleasantly surprised to find that its boat residents are incredibly friendly and always love to have a good time. It is a true community, and place where we literally know our neighbors and are with them almost nightly.
