This 26 foot sloop is easy to sail single handedly and has a pier with the cottage. Inflatable wake rider tube kept in boat storage areas is available for towing behind the boat.
The MacGregor 26M Motor/Sailboat Sloop has a traditional jib. She has cruising comforts that allow for easy one person sailing, plus a 60 HP outboard (as of 8/23/18, motor is inoperative) capable of water skiing speeds, and tubing. A tube and tow rope is available. The Galley has a one-burner cook top and a single sink. There is a topside handrail mountable propane grill also. There is a Porta-Potty rest room and dining table seating four people. Sleeps two double and two singles. There is a forward “vee” berth, a queen size bed under the transom, a dining table converts to a bed, along with the galley sliding back to allow for another bed. Sleeps six easily. Recommend motor boating with four people (no water ballast) or sailing with 6 people (with water ballasting). There is freshwater shower astern topside. The boat has a retractable keel and dual rudders for easy turning maneuvers. The boat is berthed at a private pier at my cottage in Harpswell on Ewing Narrows with easy access to Harpswell Sound and the ocean. Bow winch device used to lower mast to get under bridges. YouTube videos for "MacGregor 26" has the demonstrations for raising lowering sails and keel, as well as for using the winch to lowering the mast for going under bridges. Property manager for the cottage has the keys to the boat which is kept at the pier.
